CHICAGO (WLS) — A new CEO has been chosen for the Chicago Housing Authority. The CHA Board of Commissioners announced on Tuesday that Keith Pettigrew will take over as the agency’s new leader.
Keith Pettigrew is a longtime public housing administrator with extensive experience, having worked in Washington, DC, and New Orleans. He was selected following a nationwide search for the position.
Notably, Mayor Brandon Johnson had advocated for former Chicago Alderman Walter Burnett Jr. to become the new CHA CEO.
