Bella Hadid was reportedly pulled over by police just moments before her on-again, off-again boyfriend Adan Banuelos was arrested for public intoxication.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ, deputies stopped the model in the parking lot of Gator’s Cantina in Weatherford, Texas, during the early morning hours of Saturday. At that time, Banuelos approached the officers.
“I immediately noted that Adan’s speech was slurred and his eyes were bloodshot and glassy,” the arresting officer stated in the report. The document also noted an “odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath” as Banuelos explained that he was worried about Hadid.
Banuelos told authorities that Hadid had gone back into the bar because she left her phone there, and he “followed her,” adding that he “cared for her.”
The report further detailed that while speaking with Banuelos, his white truck remained running with a dog inside, which Banuelos said belonged to Hadid. He reportedly consented to a field sobriety test after admitting to consuming “four” beers that day, leading to his arrest.
Banuelos was taken into custody as a precaution against him “possibly driving a vehicle or posing a danger to himself or others,” according to the report. Officers released Banuelos’ property and vehicle to Hadid, identified as Isabella Hadid, at his request.
The professional cowboy was then transported to Parker County jail, where he was questioned. He strongly denied having driven to the bar and refused to provide a name for who did. Banuelos, 36, reportedly told authorities that he had been at home with a friend when Hadid came home and then left again to return to the bar.
“Adan said that he and his friend got into the truck and drove after Isabella, and when they arrived at the bar, his friend went inside, and Adan walked over to the traffic stop,” the report revealed.
A representative for Hadid, 29, did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on Wednesday.
Page Six confirmed on Saturday that Banuelos had been arrested for public intoxication, following TMZ’s initial report. He was released the same day after posting a minor bond of $386.
Earlier last week, Page Six confirmed that Banuelos and Hadid had split after two years of dating, with a source describing their relationship as “tumultuous.”
Breakup rumors first emerged in June 2025 but quieted down after Banuelos shared an Instagram birthday message for Hadid in October, writing, in part, “Love you, baby. I’ll keep reminding you every day just how much.”
A source told Page Six earlier this week that the couple’s difficulties may stem from their differing lifestyles. “She’s the daughter of Mohamed and Yolanda Hadid,” the source explained of the reality star and real estate titan. “It’s such a different way of growing up.”
