Even Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is hoping for good news for Micah Parsons after the Green Bay Packers’ superstar pass rusher went down with a potentially major knee injury in Week 15’s loss to the Denver Broncos.
Parsons collapsed with a non-contact injury to his left knee in the final minute of the third quarter against the Broncos and did not return for the rest of the game. This raised instant league-wide concern for one of the NFL’s most talented pass rushers.
Worse still, the CBS broadcast showed Parsons clutching his knee while team trainers worked on him. He was also seen mouthing to the Packers’ sideline, “I’m out.” While Williams didn’t comment directly, he reposted a sincere message from a Chicago Bears fan account that read: “Micah Parsons injured. Prayers up.”
Unfortunately for Parsons, there was no good news following the 34-26 loss. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, it is believed that Parsons tore his ACL during the game. This injury would not only sideline him for the rest of the season but could also impact his availability at the start of the 2026 season, depending on his recovery timeline.
The Packers will have Parsons undergo further testing to confirm the diagnosis. Head coach Matt LaFleur grimly stated after the game that Parsons’ knee injury “didn’t look good.”
The Chicago Bears (10-4), who are back in first place in the division, will host the Packers (9-4-1) for a rematch at Soldier Field. The game is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET next Saturday, December 20.
