This unwanted milestone makes him the player with the most ducks in T20I history.

Despite this record, Shanaka remains a vital member of the Sri Lankan T20I squad. He has scored 1,601 runs at an average of 20.26 with a strike rate of 123.05. Additionally, Shanaka has contributed significantly with the ball, claiming 38 wickets at an average of 22.86.
### Players Close Behind with 13 Ducks
By reaching 14 ducks, Shanaka surpassed five players who have been dismissed for ducks 13 times in T20I cricket. This list includes Rwanda’s Kevin Irakoze, Zappy Bimenyimana, Martin Akayezu, Bangladesh’s Soumya Sarkar, and Ireland’s Paul Stirling.
