Fire at Tara Apartments in Natchez severely damages building 9; residents escape safely

NATCHEZ Natchez Fire Fighters are on the scene at Tara Apartments, located off of Highland Boulevard behind Magnolia Village, fighting a blaze in its building number 9. The building, located on the back of the complex, holds eight apartments, two downstairs and two upstairs on each side. The attic of the building was almost completely gone at about 11: 30 a. m. on Wednesday. Bystanders said all occupants of the apartment were able to get out and no one was injured. However, that has not been confirmed. More information will be published as it becomes available.
