Say what you want about cats and dogs being mortal enemies, but there is just too much adorable proof online that begs to differ.
Take, for example, a cat named River. River is best friends with a senior dog named Oakley. When their human started giving Oakley daily massages for physical therapy, River quickly took an interest. Since these massages are meant for therapy, they don’t always feel very comfortable.
River could sense the discomfort in his old friend and seemed to tell their human, “Move aside, you’re doing it wrong!” Now, River helps tend to Oakley alongside their human, giving him massages while purring and offering comfort to his so-called “mortal enemy” dog best friend.
Honestly, it’s absolutely adorable and truly restores our faith in the world.
