Roxanne Helus, 49, was initially charged with child endangerment in connection with the death of 4-month-old Christian Olvera on October 22.

According to police, the day care owner, described as being “intoxicated” while looking after several children, failed to notice that the 4-month-old baby had stopped breathing.
