After the historic success of *Chavva*, producer Dinesh Vijan is teaming up once again with actor Vicky Kaushal for another timeless epic titled *Mahavatar*. The film will be directed by *Stree 2* helmer Amar Kaushik and is based on the life of the legendary Chiranjeevi Parashurama.
The writing for this grand project is currently underway in full swing. Insiders reveal that Maddock Films is planning to mount *Mahavatar* on an unimaginable scale, promising a cinematic spectacle like never before.
### Vicky Kaushal and Amar Kaushik’s Spiritual Preparation for *Mahavatar*
Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learned that both Vicky Kaushal and Amar Kaushik have decided to quit non-vegetarian food and alcohol as part of their preparation for the film.
>A film like *Mahavatar* requires complete focus, and the duo have resolved to give their all to create a pure and captivating experience for the audience. They will begin their spiritual preparation with a grand pooja ceremony scheduled for the middle of next year.
Currently, Amar Kaushik is immersed in the pre-visualization (pre-viz) phase of *Mahavatar*, while Vicky Kaushal is busy wrapping up the shoot of *Love And War*, which is currently running behind schedule.
While Amar Kaushik has already made the dietary changes, Vicky Kaushal plans to quit non-veg and alcohol only after completing *Love And War*. This commitment is his way of showing respect for the role of Lord Parashurama.
### Production Timeline and Expectations
*Mahavatar* is slated to go on floors towards the end of 2026, with a planned release in 2028. The production phase is expected to take one year, followed by six months of post-production.
