**Fatal Moped Crash in Belmont Under Investigation**
BELMONT, MASS. (WHDH) — Police responded to a deadly crash in Belmont on Tuesday morning involving a moped and an SUV.
According to 7NEWS sources, the incident occurred just before 9 a.m. at the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Stults Road. Prior to the crash, Belmont police had been pursuing the moped; however, the pursuit was ultimately terminated.
Eyewitnesses report that the moped ran a stop sign at the time of the collision. The driver of the moped was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman driving the SUV was transported to the hospital with injuries.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
