The Nintendo Switch 2 is off to an incredible start. It had a massive first quarter, and Nintendo has revealed that its second quarter is almost as strong. In Q2 FY26, the Nintendo Switch 2 sold approximately 4.54 million units, bringing the total sales to over 10 million since its launch.

According to Nintendo’s (NTDOY) Q2 FY26 earnings report, the Nintendo Switch 2 has officially sold 10.36 million units since launching on June 5, 2025. This represents an increase of 4.54 million units since the Q1 FY26 report, where Nintendo noted the console had sold 5.82 million units.

The Consolidated Financial Highlights provided further insight into the performance of the Nintendo Switch 2, along with the original Switch and software sales:

– Nintendo Switch 2 hardware sales reached 10.36 million units.
– Nintendo Switch 2 software sales totaled 20.62 million units.
– Nintendo Switch (original) hardware sales totaled 1.89 million units.
– Nintendo Switch software sales amounted to 61.56 million units.

Nintendo Switch 2 sales weren’t the only success Nintendo posted in its second reporting quarter. The game *Donkey Kong Bonanza* sold 3.49 million units since its release in July. This means that roughly one in three Nintendo Switch 2 owners purchased a copy of the game, underscoring its popularity.

Overall, Nintendo continues to demonstrate strong momentum with the Switch 2, both in hardware and software sales, setting the stage for a successful year ahead.
