Eureka, known as the world’s largest public network for international cooperation in research and innovation, is supporting a new joint call with Japan to strengthen global partnerships in industrial R&D and drive technological breakthroughs across multiple disciplines.

This call is jointly organised by the national funding bodies of Japan and the United Kingdom under Eureka’s international collaboration programme, Globalstars. Participating countries include Austria, Belgium (Flanders), Canada, Denmark, France, Israel, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

The initiative supports civilian R&D projects across diverse technological fields, with the exception of nuclear power and drug discovery. Priority areas for this call include quantum technology, artificial intelligence, and robotics, among others.

Through this collaboration, Eureka aims to foster innovation and accelerate the development of cutting-edge technologies by leveraging the expertise and resources of an extensive international network. Researchers and organisations across the participating countries are encouraged to engage in this opportunity to advance global scientific and industrial progress.
