Amy Slaton is a married woman again! The 1000-lb Sisters star recently tied the knot on Halloween, and it wasn’t a bridal costume—it was the real deal, TMZ reports.
The media outlet obtained pictures from her wedding ceremony showing Amy posing in her wedding dress next to her new husband, Brian Lovvorn, who looked happy in his tuxedo. Videos by PopCulture.com also captured moments from the special day. Amy’s sister Tammy was present, though it doesn’t appear she was part of the bridal party.
This marks Amy’s second marriage. She was previously married to Michael Halterman, with whom she shares two sons. The TLC star finalized her divorce in September 2023 after separating from Michael in February 2023. The divorce was initiated by Michael.
Amy and Michael share joint custody of their two sons, Gage and Glenn, with Amy having the children the majority of the time. Their split was reportedly contentious. Amy accused Michael of being unsupportive and mentally abusive, criticizing her parenting style, and not being as present as she preferred as a father. She claimed he spent much of his time playing video games, and despite her efforts to encourage change, he did not, which led to Amy’s decision to leave the relationship.
Amy’s life took a turbulent turn in 2024 when she and Brian Lovvorn encountered legal trouble during a trip to a safari park in Tennessee. Amy was arrested after authorities found psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana in her possession. On that same trip, she was also bitten by a camel. Fortunately, she struck a plea deal that allowed her to avoid jail time.
Despite these challenges, things seem to be looking up for Amy and Brian. Their wedding had an old-timey, Victorian theme and took place at Talbott Tavern, a reportedly haunted historic restaurant and inn in Bardstown, Kentucky. Interestingly, the couple got engaged at the very same location a year prior.
Instead of choosing her sister Tammy, Amy selected her best friend, Ollisha Davis, as her maid of honor. Here’s to new beginnings and happiness for Amy Slaton and Brian Lovvorn!
