A woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash while trying to flag down help along U.S. 285 in Park County, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Troopers responded to the crash at 11:45 p.m. near mile marker 197, located south of Jefferson between Bailey and Fairplay.
The woman, who was driving a 2002 Toyota Tacoma, was airlifted to the hospital following the crash. Further information about her condition has not been released.
Investigators are currently searching for a black Volvo S60 with temporary tags that fled the scene. The vehicle, believed to be a 2011–2014 model, may have damage to the passenger side mirror.
