
Four killed in six separate shooting incidents across Karachi
The shopkeeper, resisting a robbery attempt, managed to snatch an arm from one of the robbers and opened fire. The robber, identified as Rahim, later succumbed to his injuries, while his accomplice fled the scene, police reported, according to ARY News. The deceased robber had a history of multiple arrests in various cases, including murder and robbery, the police stated.
In a separate incident near Sherpao Colony, Landhi, a man was shot dead, police said. The victim was riding a motorcycle when two unidentified assailants chased him and opened fire. He sustained three gunshot wounds to the head and died at the scene, ARY News reported. Authorities believe this to be a targeted killing, and the investigation is ongoing.
Additionally, an extortionist was killed in an encounter with police in the Bakra Piri area of Malir, Senior Superintendent of Police in Karachi confirmed on Saturday. During the gunfight, a passerby named Abdul Razzaq, a laborer on his way to a nearby tea stall, was injured by stray bullets. The suspects managed to flee the scene, and police are conducting an active search to apprehend them, ARY News added.
