**Director of Budget Raises Concern Over Lack of Cooperation from Government Departments in Budget Preparation**

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Director of Budget has expressed serious concerns regarding the lack of cooperation from various government departments in the ongoing budget preparation exercise. According to officials, many departments have either failed to submit key details or have provided incomplete information, thereby hampering the drafting process.

The first phase of budget discussions has already been completed, and the second phase is set to begin on October 8. In a communication to various departments, the Director of Budget highlighted that many have not provided vital information related to important budget issues. A few departments have submitted incomplete data, which is affecting the preparation of both the zero-based and rolling budgets.

Officials emphasized the need for all departments to furnish comprehensive details about their plans of action, vacant posts, and other relevant issues to facilitate accurate budgeting. Sources revealed that despite repeated reminders, several departments have yet to provide data on crucial schemes and their financial requirements.

The Director has warned that without complete and accurate information, it will not be possible to advance with effective financial planning. In response, principal secretaries of all departments have been instructed to ensure that their officers attend the upcoming round of budget discussions fully prepared with all necessary details.

The second phase of deliberations will continue until October 30. Following this, the budget will undergo further review at the principal secretary and ministerial level.
