Bengali filmmaker and politician Raj Chakraborty is set to make his Hindi streaming debut with an untitled romantic thriller series. The much-anticipated show will feature Parambrata Chatterjee, Sumeet Vyas, Aditi Pohankar, and Priyanshu Painyuli in lead roles, according to a report by Mid-Day.

The series is currently in post-production in Mumbai, with the streaming platform expected to announce the official title and release date later this year.

**Plot and Setting**

Shot extensively in Kolkata and Darjeeling, the series explores a relationship tested by betrayal and hidden motives. Set against the backdrop of changing social and political undercurrents of Kolkata and the scenic hills of Darjeeling, the story delves deep into complex emotional and societal themes.

Several key sequences have been filmed in Kolkata’s older neighborhoods and colonial-era buildings, adding authentic local flavor to the narrative.

**Director’s Background**

Raj Chakraborty is known for his impactful work in Bengali cinema, with notable films including *Proloy* (2013), *Parineeta* (2019), *Habji Gabji* (2022), and *Shontaan* (2024). This upcoming romantic thriller marks his first venture into the Hindi web series space.

Notably, this is Chakraborty’s third collaboration with actor Parambrata Chatterjee, following their successful projects *Proloy* and *Habji Gabji*.
