Gov. Greg Abbott has demanded that Texas A&M University leaders submit a list of employees on H-1B visas by the end of the day on Monday, January 26. This directive comes according to internal emails obtained by the Quorum Report.
The demand follows a formal complaint filed by The Dallas Express, which alleges that despite numerous extensions, Texas A&M has repeatedly failed to produce records related to foreign worker programs. The complaint was submitted to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on January 21 after months of delay in providing the requested information.
The Office of the Attorney General has confirmed receipt of the complaint. However, attorneys have not indicated whether they will take further action at this time.
Texas A&M has not responded to inquiries regarding the delays or the current status of the records requests.
