Even Grammy-winning artists have to run errands sometimes. That’s exactly what happened to hip hop star Cardi B, who was spotted at a local supermarket recently.
In a TikTok video posted by Lanasia Bentley, she shares the story of her chance encounter with Cardi B while shopping at around 2 p.m. on New Year’s Day. Bentley first noticed a Cadillac truck with New York license plates parked outside her local Star Market in Dedham — something that seemed a bit out of place.
Her suspicions grew when she saw a security guard standing in the produce section. It was then that Bentley spotted Cardi B.
Approaching the rapper, Bentley greeted her with, “Oh my gosh Cardi, how are you?” The “Up” singer appeared to be “not in the mood,” responding simply with, “I’m fine.” Despite this, Bentley politely asked for a picture, and Cardi B agreed.
Bentley expressed her appreciation for the singer’s cooperation, especially since it was clear Cardi B didn’t want to be recognized at the moment. “She was very nice,” Bentley recalled. “It was a very nice celebrity experience. And I love her.”
