Amber Wooding scored 25 points to lead Lawrence to a 51-45 victory over Barnegat in an away game at Barnegat.
The game was tightly contested through three quarters, with Barnegat holding a slim 32-31 lead at the end of the third. However, Lawrence responded with a dominant fourth quarter, outscoring Barnegat 23-10 to secure the win.
In addition to Wooding’s impressive performance, Kayla Williams contributed 12 points, while Claire Gorczynski added five points for Lawrence.
On the Barnegat side, Elayna Ordonez had a standout game, leading her team with 11 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and four steals.
With the victory, Lawrence improves to 1-1 on the season, while Barnegat falls to 0-1.
