One person died in a single vehicle rollover crash along westbound U. S. 34 on Monday, near the Dam Store west of Loveland, just east of the entrance to the Big Thompson Canyon. The crash was reported at 8: 56 p. m. Monday, said Colorado State Patrol Trooper Gabriel Moltrer. Emergency crews responded. The driver, a 24-year-old man from Estes Park, was the sole occupant of a Mazda 3 that had failed to negotiate a lefthand curve in the road and went off the right side of the road, striking multiple roadway signs, and eventually coming to a stop after rolling onto its roof in a gravel parking lot, according to Moltrer. The driver was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Colorado State Patrol. Colorado State Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash, Moltrer said.
