The Women’s WarGames teams were finalized on the latest episode of SmackDown. Rhea Ripley announced AJ Lee as the final member of her squad. Because Lee cost Becky Lynch her Women’s Intercontinental title on RAW, The Man joined Team Nia Jax. SmackDown ended with a brawl between both sides, with the heels coming out on top. Thanks for the submission! The match marks Lee’s second bout since returning to WWE after a decade away. With the way current angles have been playing out, the next five finishes are possible in the Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series. #5. Team Jax wins WarGames The heel teams are 0-3 in WarGames since Triple H brought the specialty match to the main roster at Survivor Series. Nia Jax led a team last year but lost. The Annihilator is a great heel, but is often the big obstacle for heroes to vanquish. The villains need a big win this year so that the match doesn’t become too predictable each time. It’s hard to believe that a team with Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair would lose a few years ago, and they didn’t. To give some credibility to the heels and Jax’s new partnership with Lash Legend, bookers could opt to give the heels a much-needed victory. #4. Jax and Lynch explode, and Team Ripley wins While Becky Lynch had no problem shaking Asuka’s hand on SmackDown, she’s had a combative relationship with Jax during their careers. Jax famously punched Lynch during the build to one Survivor Series, taking her out of the event. The two have feuded over gold a few times, with The Man overcoming Jax each time. That has to sit in the back of The Annihilator’s mind. The Kabuki Warriors seem like they’ll be fine regardless. Lynch and Jax could be at odds during the match due to their egos. The heroes could take advantage of the tension and pick up a victory in WarGames. #3. Charlotte walks out on her team, and the heels win Charlotte Flair’s issues have been the main talking point around Team Ripley. Due to her history with Mami, she doesn’t trust the Aussie powerhouse. Ripley was the one to extend the olive branch on SmackDown, and Flair reluctantly agreed. The pairing with Alexa Bliss has done wonders for The Queen’s popularity with the WWE Universe. However, she’s better suited as a heel. Bliss is a great heel or face, and her turning on her team wouldn’t make sense with how things played out. Flair and Ripley could have major issues at some point during the match, causing The Queen to sit out in protest. She claims she’s doing it for Bliss, but it’s only a matter of time before her true selfish colors emerge. #2. Team Ripley is victorious at WarGames WWE traditionally books the heroic teams to win at WarGames. The female heroes have won each of the last three years. The match started because of issues between IYO SKY and the Kabuki Warriors. Ripley felt she was a better friend to SKY, so she’s been by her side throughout. Flair and Bliss lost the tag team titles to Asuka and Kairi Sane, so they have the momentum. This is also Lee’s second match since her return, so it doesn’t feel like she’ll be on the losing end. Having her pin Lynch would make sense, so they can have their anticipated singles clash. Bookers have traditionally picked the safest option on the main roster, and a clean win for Team Ripley is the safest finish. #1. A heel turn leads to Team Jax’s victory As previously mentioned, a lot of people are expecting Flair or Bliss to turn on the other. It’s the nature of teams and factions, and this partnership was primarily to win the WWE Women’s Tag titles. They lost the belts, so the pairing is on borrowed time. WarGames would be the prime spot for a heel turn it’s just a matter of who turns. Bliss can play either side of the coin, and could adopt a darker character since she still carries Lilly around. With the way things have played out, however, Flair could turn on her team, especially Ripley, giving the heels a win.
