High school basketball: Benton Tigers win, Lady Tigers fall on first day of Lakeside tournament

1 The Benton Tigers defeated Lakeside 63-16 on the first day of the Don Stahl Memorial Tournament hosted by Lakeside. The Lady Tigers lost to 2024-25 non-select Division IV runner-up Arcadia 56-36. The Tigers play Waco, Texas, Meyer in a semifinal game Thursday at 6: 30 in the high school gym. The Lady Tigers face Homer in a consolation quarterfinal at 3: 45 in the junior high gym. Kryshna Bostic led the Benton girls with 16 points. She also had five rebounds and five steals. Bella Wiese added eight points and Lainey Lafitte six. After a tough first quarter, Benton scored 19 points in the second. Bostic and Wiese both hit 3-pointers. Arianna Williams led Arcadia with 19.
