WASHINGTON (AP) — Michael Porter Jr. scored 34 points, and Tyrese Martin contributed seven straight points late in the third quarter, finishing with 20, as the Brooklyn Nets handed the Washington Wizards their 11th straight loss with a 129-106 victory Sunday night in a matchup of one-win teams.

The Nets snapped a four-game losing streak and notched their first win since defeating Indiana 112-103 in the first week of November, a victory that ended a seven-game losing skid to start the season. Both of Brooklyn’s wins have come on the road, where they currently hold a 2-5 record.

Other key contributors for Brooklyn included Nic Claxton, who scored 17 points, Ziaire Williams with 13, Noah Clowney adding 12, and Terance Mann chipping in 10.

Kyshawn George led the Wizards in scoring with 29 points. CJ McCollum added 17 points, and Khris Middleton scored 14. Washington shot 35% (12 for 34) from beyond the arc and 44% (37 for 84) overall.

The Wizards fell to 0-6 at home and have lost 12 of their last 13 games this season. Their last victory came on October 24, when they beat Dallas 117-107 in the second game of the season.

The Nets overcame 11 first-half turnovers and built a 35-25 scoring advantage in the second quarter to take a 63-53 lead into halftime. The Wizards fought back in the third quarter, outscoring Brooklyn 31-22 in the first 10 minutes to narrow the gap to 85-84.

However, after Williams made a pair of free throws to push the Nets’ lead to three, Martin responded with two field goals and a three-pointer that extended Brooklyn’s advantage to 94-84 heading into the fourth quarter.

The Nets opened the final period on a 14-4 run, increasing their lead to 20 points at 108-88 with just under eight minutes remaining. Brooklyn maintained control for the rest of the game, never allowing Washington to seriously threaten the lead.
