Pokémon Pokopia: Release Date Set for March 5, 2026
Pokémon Pokopia, the first-ever Pokémon lifestyle simulation game, was initially revealed in September 2025 with a tentative release window set for 2026. Nintendo has now officially announced that the game will launch on March 5, 2026.
The announcement came through a post on X, Nintendo’s social platform. While the update did not include a new trailer, screenshots, or additional gameplay details, it confirmed that Pokémon Pokopia will be a Switch 2 exclusive, arriving in early March.
In Pokémon Pokopia, players take on the role of Ditto, a shapeshifting Pokémon. Although Ditto appears as a human-like figure, it utilizes its unique ability to transform and harness the powers of various Pokémon. Players will use these abilities to shape the land, cultivate crops, and construct buildings, creating an immersive lifestyle simulation experience.
The game was originally unveiled during the September 2025 Nintendo Direct and is being developed by Koei Tecmo. Pokémon Pokopia now joins other major titles slated for release in March 2026, such as 007 First Light and Saros.
The year 2026 is shaping up to be significant for the Pokémon franchise, as it marks the series’ 30th anniversary in February. Fans can look forward to a memorable year filled with exciting new adventures.
