Flickering Threat and other later-game quests in ARC Raiders can be challenging if you’re not prepared to enter high-threat areas and search for specific items or interactive objects. Although these quests might seem daunting at first, they typically don’t take long once you know exactly what to do. Here, we’ve gathered all the details to help you complete the Flickering Threat quest efficiently.
### Step 1: Head to the Power Generation Complex
To start the Flickering Threat quest, make your way to the western portion of the Power Generation Complex located on the Dam Battlegrounds map. Your first objective is to repair a generator.
The Power Generation Complex is a busy, high-traffic area patrol led by a Rocketeer and a support ARC, so be cautious as you navigate through it.
### Step 2: Navigate to the Generator Room
From the westernmost part of the Complex, enter the door beneath the upper platform near the stairs. Once inside, head straight through the door across from you, then continue down the hallway. Pass one more door, go down the stairs, and enter the door on your left. You should now be inside the generator room.
Move left past the first generator and approach the second generator, which can be identified by glowing yellow pipes. To repair the generator, you need to interact with these pipes — but make sure you have at least four Wires in your inventory before starting the repair.
Completing this repair marks the first phase of the quest as finished.
### Step 3: Restore Power at the Ventilation Shaft
After repairing the generator, return to the surface and proceed to a nearby broken ventilation shaft to turn on the power.
A helpful tip is to set your waypoint east from the North Complex Elevator extraction point to find the shaft easily. The ventilation shaft looks like a tall building with a broken roof.
Avoid the Rocketeer patrolling nearby as you approach this area. Enter the shaft and head down the stairs inside to locate the power switch underneath.
Flip the power switch to complete the Flickering Threat quest.
