Pete Davidson is ready to give fatherhood all he’s got. The Saturday Night Live alum, who is expecting his first baby with pregnant girlfriend Elsie Hewitt, made a surprise return to the NBC sketch comedy series on November 8. During the episode, he joked about how gearing up to be a dad has already impacted his lifestyle.
During the Weekend Update segment, Pete joined co-anchor Colin Jost and quipped, “In case you’re wondering why I had to do a show in Saudi Arabia, we’re losing millions on this ferry.” He added, “I assume that’s what the article says. I can’t spend $5 on a paywall when I got a kid on the way.”
Indeed, the 31-year-old, who last appeared on SNL as a guest host earlier in 2023, compared the anticipation of becoming a parent to his eight-season tenure on the long-running program — though perhaps not for the right reasons.
