No. 1 Nebraska Volleyball Heads to Minneapolis for Big Ten Clash with Minnesota

The No. 1 Nebraska volleyball team will continue Big Ten play on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Minneapolis to face the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The Huskers are a perfect 23-0 for the second time in three years, following their stunning 27-0 start in 2023.

Nebraska boasts 14 consecutive sweeps this season — the most the program has had since recording 17 sweeps in 2007. The team has also won 43 sets in a row, marking the longest streak since winning 53 straight sets in 2007.

The Huskers’ offense is leading the nation with an impressive .339 hitting percentage. Equally formidable, their defense ranks second nationally in opponent hitting percentage, holding teams to just .117.

Key Players to Watch

Junior Harper Murray leads Nebraska with 3.66 kills per set, 2.29 digs per set, and a team-high 22 aces. Setter Bergen Reilly orchestrates the offense at an elite level, averaging 10.08 assists per set while contributing a team-best 2.64 digs per set.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers enter the matchup with a 17-7 overall record and a 7-6 mark in Big Ten play. Julia Hanson leads Minnesota with 4.10 kills per set and a .303 hitting percentage on the season.

Historically, Nebraska holds a 39-12 advantage over Minnesota.
