Nebraska Volleyball’s Harper Murray, Andi Jackson, and Bergen Reilly have been named semifinalists for the 2025 AVCA Division I National Player of the Year. The trio earned spots on the prestigious 14-member nomination list compiled by the AVCA Division I Women’s Volleyball Awards Committee.

The 2025 AVCA Division I National Player of the Year award, presented by Nike Volleyball, will be announced on Friday, December 19, at the AVCA Awards Banquet in Kansas City.

### Standout Performances Fuel Nebraska’s Success

Murray, Jackson, and Reilly have all demonstrated exceptional skill and consistency throughout the season, helping Nebraska maintain an undefeated streak so far.

In October, Murray surpassed 1,000 career kills, a remarkable milestone. During a recent faceoff against Purdue, the junior recorded an outstanding .640 hitting percentage along with 16 kills. Her impressive performance earned her the Big Ten Player of the Week honor and a spot on the East vs. West All-Star Game roster.

Jackson, the junior middle blocker, has been delivering consistently strong performances. She tallied nine kills against Maryland, followed by 12 kills against Purdue. Notably, on November 7, she achieved a perfect nine kills on nine swings. Her powerful offense continues to boost the Huskers’ dominance on the court.

Likewise, Reilly has made significant contributions this season. Alongside Murray, she secured a spot on the East vs. West All-Star Game roster thanks to her stellar play. Reilly is progressing toward career-highs in both kills per set and hitting percentage. In a matchup against Wisconsin, she recorded 38 assists, eight digs, four blocks, and three kills. This performance also marked the highest hitting percentage ever allowed by Wisconsin at their home arena since 2012.

The final list of contenders for the 2025 AVCA Division I National Player of the Year will be announced on December 15.

### Coach Dani Busboom Kelly Discusses Team’s Strategy

Joining Nebraska Volleyball in January 2025, coach Dani Busboom Kelly has quickly made an impact in her first season at the helm. She took over from legendary coach John Cook, who led the program for 25 years.

In a recent interview, Busboom Kelly reflected on Nebraska’s ongoing winning streak and shared insights into the team’s evolving approach for upcoming matches.

“Nebraska has always been great defensively and sometimes hasn’t put up offensive numbers,” she said. “This year, we’re really putting up really high offensive numbers as well. It’s just the attention to detail and the awareness that we’re going to be great on both sides. We’re not going to rely on one or the other to win games.”

### Upcoming Match

Nebraska Volleyball will next take on Minnesota on Saturday, November 8. Fans are eager to see if the Huskers can continue their dominant run and strong offensive showing in this exciting Big Ten clash.
