The Recording Academy released its nominations for the 2026 Grammys on Friday, and unsurprisingly, artists like Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, and Kendrick Lamar are nominated for a bevy of awards. Alongside these musical heavyweights, fans of K-pop have reason to celebrate as Rumi, Mira, and Zoey from the animated trio Huntr/x in *KPop Demon Hunters* also received multiple nominations.
Sony and Netflix’s smash-hit film *KPop Demon Hunters* is up for four awards at next year’s ceremony. The film’s standout track, “Golden,” has been nominated for Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Song Written for Visual Media. Additionally, the film’s soundtrack is nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
Adding to the film’s musical acclaim, legendary DJ David Guetta is also nominated for his remix of “Golden,” which helped bring the song to dance floors everywhere. Fans of the film will have to wait until February 1, 2026, to see if their favorite animated K-pop trio brings home some golden gramophones.
Winners are chosen by the Recording Academy’s voters—a peer group composed of music creators including artists, songwriters, producers, engineers, and more, according to a news release. The 2026 Grammys ceremony will be broadcast on CBS and streamed on Paramount Plus.
Receiving these Grammy nominations marks the latest accolade for *KPop Demon Hunters* and its music. The film is already Netflix’s most-watched original and has produced a single that topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
A sequel to *KPop Demon Hunters* is also in the works, though it may not be released until 2029. That means fans can look forward to several more years of playing “Golden” on repeat until Huntr/x returns with new tunes.
*KPop Demon Hunters* is available to stream now on Netflix.
