Denise Richards Granted Permanent Restraining Order Against Estranged Husband Aaron Phypers

Denise Richards has been granted a permanent restraining order against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, amid their highly publicized and contentious divorce.

After an emotional day in court, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled that Phypers must stay at least 100 yards away from Richards until November 7, 2030. The order also requires Phypers to remain the same distance from Richards’ workplace and bars him from contacting her in any manner, according to Us Weekly.

Outside the courthouse, 53-year-old Phypers reacted to the ruling, telling Entertainment Tonight he “wished it was the other way.” The former Quantum360 owner added that he was not worried about the impact the restraining order might have on his upcoming spousal support hearing, scheduled for January 5, 2026. “I know the truth. This may be hidden for a minute,” Phypers stated. “We’re going to reset a little bit, but that’s okay.” Regarding his next steps, Phypers said he’s looking forward to taking “a break” while he gets “ready for the next show.”

Representatives for both Richards and Phypers did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Phypers filed for divorce from Richards, 54, in July, after nearly seven years of marriage. The “Denise Richards & Her Wild Things” star brought the couple back to court in October, seeking to extend her temporary restraining order against her ex.

In harrowing testimony, Richards accused Phypers of violent behavior on multiple occasions throughout their relationship, telling the court that her husband had given her “at least three concussions.” The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum alleged that Phypers “slammed [her] up against the concrete wall and [her] head hit it,” describing an incident that reportedly occurred between March and May 2022.

Phypers was arrested for spousal abuse in court this past October. He has previously accused Richards of abusing painkillers and alcohol—claims that Richards has denied. Responding to Richards’ allegations at trial, Phypers testified that his ex-wife “bruises easily,” and said he had no recollection of her getting a black eye. However, he acknowledged noticing that her eye was “bruised” around January 17, 2022, when Richards claimed a physical incident took place. “She would bruise her arms, all sorts of stuff. She’d bruise herself while cooking, falling down,” Phypers testified, adding that he often witnessed Richards getting injured.

Richards was previously granted a temporary restraining order against Phypers on July 16 after claiming he once gave her a black eye during an argument. At the time, a source close to Phypers denied the abuse allegations to Daily Mail, claiming Richards sustained the injury herself while drinking.

“This is consistent with the ongoing untruthfulness of Denise Richards, who is trying to hide her alcohol problem,” the insider alleged. “That photo was taken in winter 2022, and the fact is she was drunk at the time and fell coming up the steps to Aaron’s [since-closed holistic medical] clinic, Q360.”

The former couple’s divorce and the associated legal proceedings continue to unfold, drawing significant public and media attention.
