The Miami Dolphins held a special pre-Thanksgiving celebration on Tuesday, bringing together players and their families at Hard Rock Stadium to officially kick off the holiday season. As part of the team’s ‘Football UNITES’ program, the Dolphins hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for 32 families.

Annah Gore, wife of Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, shared an Instagram story originally posted by linebacker Quinton Bell’s fiancée, Brooke Miranda. The story included a picture of Dolphins players standing in line, watching families participate in various activities. Along with the picture, Miranda added a simple three-word caption: “Dolphins Thanksgiving event.”

This Thanksgiving dinner came just five days after the Dolphins suffered a tough 28-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9. Head coach Mike McDaniel, visibly upset with the defeat, addressed the media on Wednesday, outlining his high expectations for Tua Tagovailoa in the upcoming Week 10 game against the Buffalo Bills.

“I think it’s important to, when you’re not getting results as a team, to make sure individuals don’t try to be Captain America or Superman,” McDaniel said. “You have the ball in your hand. What are you going to do with the open, covered, pocket situation? All the decisions you have to make. And it has to be from a clear mind of expectation of what your job is.”

Off the field, Annah Gore opened up about her superstitions regarding gamedays. During an Instagram Q&A session last month, she shared how she dedicates herself to certain rituals to support her husband and the team.

“Not necessarily any rituals! Each gameday looks a little different! I try to put the kids in football PJs the night before! I wish I could say I always remember to do this,” she wrote, adding a laughing emoji. “I am very superstitious. If something is working during the game, I keep it going!”

Annah also reflected on the challenges of maintaining friendships within the NFL community, noting that players and their families often shift teams, which can make steady relationships difficult to sustain.

With the holiday spirit alive and the team gearing up for a crucial upcoming matchup, the Dolphins and their families look to stay united both on and off the field.
