Don’t flip a car over this news—Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto VI will be delayed until November 19, 2026. The extra time will allow the team to ensure they are producing the best possible game for their fans.
In a post on X dated November 6, Rockstar expressed their apologies for the extended wait: “We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.”
The video game publisher also thanked fans for their patience and support, adding, “While the wait is a little longer, we are incredibly excited for players to experience the sprawling state of Leonida and a return to modern day Vice City.”
This marks the second delay for Grand Theft Auto VI. Originally slated for release in fall 2025, the launch was first pushed back to May 2026 before now being postponed to November 2026. As a result, it will have been 13 years since the last GTA game was released, making this highly anticipated installment even more notable.
Stay tuned for more updates as Rockstar Games continues to develop what promises to be an exciting new chapter in the Grand Theft Auto universe.
