Tonight on The Stevetendo Show, we’re jumping back into the vastness of space with Super Mario Galaxy 2. I hope everyone had a nice Halloween and didn’t get scared too much!

During our last Super Mario Galaxy 2 playthrough, we boarded the spaceship that looked like a giant Mario head, primed for adventure. We also grabbed all the stars we could in the first world and secured the first Grand Star.

For those unfamiliar, Grand Stars are earned by defeating bosses at the end of each world. We use these Grand Stars to unlock the path to the next world and progress the story. Gobblegut, the first boss, was a bit of a challenge, but we managed to defeat him. Only time will tell if this playthrough will be a one-hundred percent run or not.

Set to go live at 6 p.m. PDT/9 p.m. EDT, join The Stevetendo Show for more of our Super Mario Galaxy 2 adventures! Shackers who want to join in on the fun can head over to the Shacknews Twitch channel, where you can catch The Stevetendo Show every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

If you can’t make tonight’s show, no worries—you can watch on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 5 p.m. PDT/8 p.m. EDT. We finally finished Donkey Kong Bananaz last week, so a brand new playthrough will be starting up on the show soon. Pokémon Legends: Arceus will hold down the fort on Wednesday nights. The action is heating up, and you won’t want to miss it!

In other news, Shacknews recently launched a new service called Shackmaps. The dedicated Shacknews staff has gone through some of your favorite video games to help keep you from getting lost. It’s a great resource if you’re looking for guidance or want to explore in-depth game maps.

I hope everyone had a great Halloween last week and didn’t cause too much mischief. Swing by The Stevetendo Show this evening, where I’ll share my favorite candy—I can’t believe we didn’t talk about this before Halloween, but better late than never!

Also, October 31 marked the first anniversary of the Nintendo Music app. As you know, I love video game music and have been getting a lot out of this app. I’ll be sharing some of my favorite video game music during the show as well.

Keep those game suggestions coming! If it’s on the Nintendo Switch 2 or the Nintendo Switch 2 Online service, it could soon have a starring role on The Stevetendo Show. You never know when Nintendo will add something new, so stay tuned.

See you tonight!
