The Seattle Kraken know how to throw a party, and for this year’s Halloween bash, they had a surprise guest that shocked everyone.
This year, the Kraken hosted an Adam Sandler-themed Halloween party where guests were encouraged to dress like the actor from his various films or emulate his distinctive off-set outfits. From the photos shared on social media, the night became even more special when Adam Sandler himself showed up and took photos with everyone in attendance.
The Kraken weren’t the only ones inspired by Sandler this Halloween. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, also paid tribute to the actor by dressing as characters from Sandler’s 1998 film, *The Waterboy*. Allen went as Robert Boucher Jr., Sandler’s character in the film, while Steinfeld portrayed Vicki Vallencourt, originally played by Fairuza Balk.
This year has been especially significant for Sandler, as he released *Happy Gilmore 2*, the long-awaited sequel to his 1996 hit. The film featured several professional athletes, including NFL star Travis Kelce, PGA golfers Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Will Zalatoris, Keegan Bradley, and more.
Sandler turned the film into a family affair by casting his wife, Jackie Sandler, and their daughters, Sadie and Sunny, in various roles. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made his film debut in *Happy Gilmore 2*, earning praise from Sandler.
Speaking with *Entertainment Tonight*, Sandler shared kind words about Kelce and his fiancée Taylor Swift:
“Taylor is so d**n nice to my family. My kids have met Taylor a bunch of times over the years, and she’s ridiculously nice to them and warm.”
He continued,
“Travis is such a gentle, nice guy, and funny as hell. When I was with Travis, it reminded me of my buddies in high school, just being able to laugh and say the things you want to say. He certainly is a stud.”
*Happy Gilmore 2* is now streaming on Netflix, bringing Sandler’s beloved character back to fans in a star-studded sequel.
