Those hoping that Seth Rollins’ latest injury was just a work will be disappointed to hear that the WWE’s “Visionary” won’t be returning for a while.

Appearing on *Good Morning Football*, Rollins, a fan of the Chicago Bears, expressed his disappointment that his World Heavyweight Championship, which he vacated due to injury, will not be defended by him on *Saturday Night’s Main Event* on November 1.

“[I’ll be out] for six months,” Rollins admitted. “My world championship is going to be worn by some schmuck, either Jey Uso or CM Punk; it’s awful. It really is the Halloween scaries, guys.”

### When Will Seth Rollins Return to WWE?

If Rollins is to be believed, he is expected to be out of action for about six months. This timeline suggests he could make his return in time for WrestleMania 42 in April 2026.

However, some fans remain skeptical about the legitimacy of his injury. Earlier this year, Rollins fooled many by exaggerating a knee injury. He made a surprising comeback just weeks later at SummerSlam, cashing in his Money in the Bank contract to win the World Heavyweight Championship from CM Punk, who had only held the title for a few minutes.

### The Current Injury and Its Impact

Unfortunately, Rollins’ current injury is more serious. His second reign as World Heavyweight Champion lasted only 79 days before he had to vacate the title due to this new injury.

The injury happened during his match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel—a match Rollins won—but he hurt his shoulder badly enough to require a lengthy recovery.

### Fallout from the Injury

This injury also led to Rollins’ premature exit from The Vision, the faction he founded. On the October 13, 2025 edition of *Monday Night RAW*, Bron Breakker attacked Rollins. Following the attack, Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman joined forces with Breakker, further isolating Rollins.

All signs point to this injury being legitimate, meaning fans will have to wait patiently before seeing Seth Rollins back in the ring.
