As promised on Friday, the development teams behind Battlefield 6—DICE, Ripple Effect, Motive, and Criterion—have released the patch notes for update 1.1.1.0. This update is set to go live tomorrow, ahead of the debut of Season 1.
The update will be released at 9:00 UTC, while the new season is scheduled to begin at 15:00 UTC.
With this update, the developers aim to address some of the biggest pain points the Battlefield 6 community highlighted during the game’s first few weeks. One of the key improvements is the refinement of the player character’s core movement and animations. Players can expect smoother landings, faster stance transitions, and improved vaulting behavior. Additionally, issues with bouncing when landing or spawning have been reduced to enhance overall gameplay fluidity.
Shooting mechanics also received a significant overhaul. Players have voiced concerns about weapon dispersion, and this patch reworks it to better align accuracy and handling with each weapon’s intended design and performance over different ranges. The changes specifically address inconsistencies such as dispersion not properly settling after sprinting. The developers believe these tweaks will bring firing behavior closer to the ideal balance between precision, control, and weapon power.
User requests for improved visibility and lighting have been heard as well. This new version of Battlefield 6 boasts better exposure transitions, enhanced interior lighting, and reduced fog and smoke persistence, offering a clearer and more immersive visual experience.
Patch 1.1.1.0 also includes a variety of additional improvements to audio and the user interface, along with an extensive list of fixes. For a complete overview, be sure to check out the official changelog post.
As Battlefield 6 moves forward with this patch and the launch of Season 1, EA and the development teams are aiming to maintain the game’s strong momentum. The title’s launch was a significant success, breaking franchise sales records and earning praise from both critics and fans.
Season 1 will be a pivotal moment for the game. According to our hands-on review by David Carcasole, the new Conquest maps stand out as a highlight, though there are some downsides, such as the addition of small-group modes.
Additionally, the much-anticipated Battle Royale mode is rumored to debut with tomorrow’s update, although there has been no official confirmation at this time.
Stay tuned for more updates as Battlefield 6 continues to evolve.
