This 1973 Chevrolet Corvette coupe underwent a comprehensive refurbishment around 2010, which reportedly included a rebuild of the 350ci L48 V8 engine with replacement internals. Alongside the engine, the three-speed automatic transmission and Positraction limited-slip differential were also refreshed to ensure solid performance and reliability.
Finished in vibrant red with black leather interior, this C3 Corvette offers classic style paired with thoughtful upgrades. The exterior enhancements include the removal of a rear luggage rack and refinishing of both the deck lid and nose. Additional exterior features comprise a front-hinged domed hood, a driver’s side mirror, and iconic pop-up headlights. During refurbishment, replacement stainless-steel screws were installed, and the trim was re-chromed for a polished look.
Ride quality and handling are enhanced by power steering and a four-wheel independent suspension. Braking duties are managed by four-wheel ventilated discs, with stainless-steel brake lines and new discs added for improved stopping power. The Corvette rides on 15″ Rally wheels fitted with 255/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, and a set of factory spoke wheels is included with the sale. Notably, the Rally wheels are presented without wheel covers in the accompanying photos.
Step inside to find twin bucket seats reupholstered in black leather, complemented by replacement carpeting throughout the cabin. Driver comfort is prioritized with a tilt and telescoping steering column, while convenience features include a rear window defogger, heater, and an AM/FM stereo. The air conditioning system is currently non-operational. The three-spoke steering wheel surrounds a 160-mph speedometer and a 7,000-rpm tachometer, while additional gauges for fuel level, water temperature, oil pressure, and amperage are located in the center stack alongside an analog clock.
The five-digit odometer reads approximately 27,000 miles, with about 250 miles added under the current ownership since 2024. Originally factory rated at 190 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, the 350ci L48 V8 features a four-barrel carburetor. The engine rebuild performed roughly 15 years ago under previous ownership included significant performance upgrades such as a roller camshaft, Erson roller rockers, “pink” rods, ported and polished 202 cylinder heads, polished pistons, MSD ignition, and Edelbrock hardware. Exhaust flow is improved with a 2-inch dual exhaust system and ported manifolds.
Routine maintenance has been kept up to date, with a tune-up and oil change completed within the past year. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission and a Positraction limited-slip differential with 3.08:1 gearing, both refreshed during the engine rebuild. Additionally, replacement bearings have been installed throughout the vehicle, including those in the steering column.
This Corvette is currently offered with an Ontario registration, which serves as the official ownership document in Ontario, Canada. It represents a well-maintained example of a classic American sports car, combining tasteful restoration with enhanced mechanical components for an engaging driving experience.
