If you’ve been playing games over the past few years, chances are you already know that *Escape From Tarkov* is a big deal. What’s even more surprising is that a parody game based on it is doing quite well too.
Titled *Escape From Duckov*, this game is an obvious play on the Tarkov name. However, its gameplay is quite different: it’s a PvE top-down looter shooter set entirely in a whimsical duck world. Despite the differences, *Escape From Duckov* has been making waves in the gaming community.
### Escape From Duckov Is All Quacked Up
The developers at Team Soda recently announced a major milestone — the game has sold over 500,000 units! This achievement is even more impressive considering that *Escape From Duckov* is not available on consoles.
In their announcement, the studio shared:
> “What an exciting weekend for all ducks! More than 500,000 Ducklings have now joined the world of Duckov! At this moment, the entire dev team is quacking with joy and flapping our wings in excitement! A heartfelt thank-you to every single Duckling for your incredible support — together, we’ve reached this truly meaningful Duckov milestone!”
Team Soda also emphasized their commitment to ensuring that every update meets player expectations, promising to keep delivering quality content.
### Surpassing Expectations
Here’s an even crazier fact: just yesterday, *Escape From Duckov* had more than double the number of players compared to *Hollow Knight: Silksong* — at least on PC. While we’re not saying *Duckov* rivals Team Cherry’s acclaimed Metroidvania sequel, the fact that this relatively unknown game managed to surpass the player count of one of this year’s most anticipated titles is undeniably impressive.
With its unique charm and growing player base, *Escape From Duckov* is definitely a title to keep an eye on.
