**Police Investigate Disappearance of Well-Known Georgia Dentist**
Police in Georgia are investigating the disappearance of Melanie Nadler Litt, a “well-known” dentist who has not been seen since Monday. The 52-year-old was last seen leaving her workplace at a dental practice on Villa Rica Way in Marietta, West Cobb.
Litt was expected to work Tuesday at the Family Dentistry at Seven Hills in Dallas but failed to show up. Concerned coworkers contacted law enforcement for a welfare check, according to FOX 5.
Upon gaining permission from her husband, Lesley Litt, to enter the Marietta home, Cobb County police conducted a search. They found a work bag near the entrance and Litt’s powered-off cellphone but did not locate her vehicle or wallet at the residence. No signs of foul play were reported during the investigation, according to ANF.
Lesley Litt, who was visiting their son at college in another state when Melanie disappeared, later arrived at the home from the airport. He told police that nothing appeared to be missing. “We all want to see her home and safe, and we love her dearly,” he said.
Friends of Melanie have expressed deep concern. Carolyn Watson Patt, a close friend, described her disappearance as “completely out of character.” “She has a whole village of people who love her. We’re worried 24/7 right now,” Patt shared.
Police have since located Melanie Litt’s vehicle abandoned in a large parking lot on Barrett Parkway in Cobb County, according to ANF.
Litt is described as a white female, standing 5 feet 1 inch tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
If you have any information about Melanie Nadler Litt or her whereabouts, please contact the Cobb County Police Department at (770) 499-3900 or dial 911 immediately.
