September inflation tipped to hit 7-month high

MANILA, Philippines —

Storm damage and an import freeze on rice may have pushed up inflation to a seven-month high in September. However, price growth likely remained within the central bank’s target.

The consumer price index (CPI) may have accelerated to 2 percent, based on the median estimate of 14 economists polled by the Inquirer.
