**CM Yogi Adityanath Interacts with Tribal Youth Participants from Across India During 17th Tribal Youth Exchange Program**
*Lucknow:* Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday engaged with young participants from Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha as part of the ongoing 17th Tribal Youth Exchange Program. The week-long initiative, which commenced on September 25 and is scheduled to conclude on October 1, has brought together promising youth representatives from various parts of the country.
Welcoming the visitors, CM Yogi congratulated the youth of Uttar Pradesh and urged them to dedicate themselves to the cause of national unity and integrity. He also extended his greetings on the auspicious occasions of Sharadiya Navratri and Vijayadashami.
Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s *Panch Pran*, the Chief Minister described these five pledges as the guiding force behind building a *Viksit Bharat* (Developed India). He emphasized that such initiatives not only provide a platform for cultural exchange but also serve to strengthen the spirit of unity in diversity.
Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Girish Chandra Yadav was also present during the event.
Speaking about the significance of the program, CM Yogi said it is an integral part of Prime Minister Modi’s “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” campaign. It enables participants to learn about, share, and celebrate each other’s unique cultures, fostering national integration.
This year, approximately 200 youths from various states are participating in the Lucknow edition of the program.
The Chief Minister reminded the youth that while dialects may differ across regions, India’s culture remains unified. He stated, “The sentiment that ‘Mother Earth is our mother, and we are her children’ lives in the heart of every Indian. It is deeply rooted in our culture and traditions.”
He recalled the historic contribution of tribal leader Birsa Munda, emphasizing how his spirit rekindled national pride during the colonial era, compelling the foreign regime to retreat. This year is particularly special as it marks the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda alongside the Amrit Mahotsav of the Indian Constitution.
CM Yogi further elaborated on Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a developed India, emphasizing that true progress can only be achieved when each citizen adopts development as their life’s mantra. “From Kandla to Kalahandi, Singhbhum to Gadchiroli, Kanker, Narayanpur, Balaghat, and Bijapur — when these regions progress, India will progress. The development of the nation will fulfill the aspirations of its 140 crore citizens,” he said.
He detailed the *Panch Pran* outlined by the Prime Minister as essential guiding principles:
1. **Reverence for India’s heritage:** Respect for great men, gods and goddesses, sages, and freedom fighters, while taking pride in India’s rich cultural legacy.
2. **Shedding the mentality of slavery:** Moving away from a mindset of weakness such as “Sir, we cannot do this,” towards a confident spirit of “Yes, we can, and we will.”
3. **Respect for the armed forces:** Honoring the commitment and sacrifices of the armed forces, paramilitary, and police personnel who safeguard the nation.
4. **Upholding social unity — Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat:** Recognizing that despite differences in states, castes, food habits, and languages, the collective identity as Indians is paramount. Contributing actively to the nation-first approach is vital.
5. **Fulfilling civic duties:** Encouraging every citizen — students, teachers, farmers, youth, government employees, public representatives — to perform their civic responsibilities with honesty and commitment.
CM Yogi emphasized that these five pledges form the foundation of a developed India, reflecting the dreams and aspirations of its 1.4 billion citizens.
Encouraging the youth to witness development firsthand, the Chief Minister invited them to visit the Vidhan Sabha and experience the Lucknow Metro. He also recalled how during Lord Ram’s 14-year exile, tribal communities were among his strongest supporters. In recognition of this shared heritage, a grand temple has been constructed at Lord Ram’s sacred birthplace.
To deepen their understanding, CM Yogi directed the Youth Welfare Department to organize a tour of Ayodhya for the participants. He remarked, “The Ayodhya you see today was not the same 8–10 years ago. The roads were narrow, facilities were lacking, and development was minimal. Today, Ayodhya has undergone a complete transformation.”
He encouraged the youth to observe the changes in Ayodhya, compare them with Lucknow’s development, and share their insights. “This exchange of ideas will inspire even more progress,” he concluded.
