Maharashtra: Thousands Attend Rath Alankar Mahapuja At Tuljabhavani Temple
The Shardiya Navratri Festival of Shri Tuljabhavani, the Kulswamini of Maharashtra, commenced on September 22. This auspicious festival draws devotees from far and wide to celebrate the divine presence of the Goddess.
On the fifth day of the festival, Friday, coinciding with the occasion of Lalita Panchami, the Rath Alankar Mahapuja of Shri Tuljabhavani was conducted with great devotion. The event saw a large gathering of devotees and temple officials, all coming together to participate in this sacred ritual.
According to religious tradition, Bhagwan Suryanarayan gifted his chariot (Rath) to Tuljabhavani Mata to enable her to visit all three worlds. This makes the Rath Alankar Mahapuja an especially significant and holy occasion. Devotees pay their obeisance to the Goddess on this day, seeking her blessings.
Thousands of worshippers, not only from Maharashtra but also from other states, visit the temple to witness this unique event, highlighting its wide-reaching importance.
In addition, the traditional Chabina procession of Shri Tuljabhavani, featuring the Goddess on her peacock vehicle, was held on Thursday. The procession attracted large participation from the public, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The Chabina procession will continue on various vehicles throughout the remaining days of the Shardiya Navratri festival, offering devotees multiple opportunities to celebrate and seek blessings.
The temple administration is diligently working to ensure all necessary facilities are provided for the comfort and convenience of the devotees during this sacred time.
