Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Preparations are in full swing in Indore district to commence the mega Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Although the official start date is yet to be announced, the district administration is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a smooth and error-free process.
In a recent review meeting, Block Level Officers (BLOs) were instructed to carry out their duties meticulously to avoid any mistakes. The meeting was convened under the guidance of Collector and District Election Officer Shivam Verma. It brought together BLOs, block level supervisors, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) from assembly constituencies No. 205 Indore-2, 206 Indore-3, 207 Indore-4, and 208 Indore-5.
Additional Collector and Deputy District Election Officer Pawar Navjeevan Vijay emphasized the importance of completing the revision work within the stipulated timeframe and without errors. Assistant Deputy District Election Officer Ajit Shrivastava also briefed attendees on the detailed aspects of the SIR process.
During the review, several BLOs and supervisors who had not completed their tasks satisfactorily were reprimanded. The supervisors’ overall progress was deemed unsatisfactory, and they were urged to improve promptly and complete their assigned work immediately.
The district administration has planned a similar meeting for officers assigned to the remaining assembly constituencies on Friday to ensure comprehensive readiness across Indore.
