Ryan Routh Found Guilty Of 2024 Assassination Attempt On Trump

**Ryan Routh Found Guilty of Attempted Assassination of Donald Trump at Golf Club**

Ryan Routh, 59, was found guilty on all charges for attempting to kill former President Donald Trump at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. The incident took place two months before Trump secured his second presidency. The verdict was delivered after a federal trial in Fort Pierce, Florida.

According to CNN, Routh, who represented himself during the trial, faced five charges including attempted assassination of a major presidential candidate, assaulting a federal officer, possession of a firearm and ammunition as a felon, and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

Authorities revealed that Routh had created a “sniper’s nest” near the sixth green of the golf course but did not fire any shots at Trump. Nearly two weeks of testimony and hundreds of exhibits were presented, with the final witness outlining how Routh allegedly stalked Trump and gathered both physical and electronic evidence.

Prosecutors stated that Routh purchased a military-grade weapon, tracked Trump’s movements, and used a dozen burner phones as part of a politically motivated plot to assassinate Trump.

After approximately three hours of deliberation, the jury returned with a guilty verdict on all counts.

Following the verdict, Trump posted on Truth Social:
“Congratulations to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, and the entire DOJ team on the conviction, in Florida, of the person who attempted an assassination on my life. The trial was meticulously handled, and I would like to thank the Judge and Jury for their time, professionalism, and patience. This was an evil man with an evil intention, and they caught him.

I would also like to thank the Secret Service, Department of Florida Law Enforcement, and the wonderful person who spotted him running from the site of the crime, and acted by following him, and getting all information on car type and license plate to the Sheriffs Office, IMMEDIATELY, which led to his arrest and conviction. What incredible instinct and foresight this person had. A very big moment for JUSTICE IN AMERICA!”

Shortly after the verdict was read, Routh reportedly tried to stab himself in the neck with a pen. Authorities intervened promptly to prevent the attempt. Additionally, Routh’s daughter had an emotional outburst in the courtroom following the verdict.

Routh’s assassination attempt on September 15, 2024, occurred just nine weeks after another assassination attempt on Trump. On that occasion, 20-year-old Thomas Crooks fired eight shots at Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, with one bullet grazing Trump’s ear. Crooks was subsequently killed by Secret Service counter-snipers, as reported by The Guardian.

This conviction marks a significant development in ensuring justice and security for political figures in the United States.
