Congress questions on whether GST reduction benefits will be passed to consumers

With reduced GST rates on several items coming into effect, the Congress on Monday commented on the development.

The party described the reform as “limited” and said it has come eight years too late.

They also raised a “big question mark” over whether the benefits of the tax reduction will actually be passed on to consumers.
