Mumbai Masala: School Girl’s Assault Denied
**Why Would a Small Child Lie About Being Molested by a Teacher?**
This is the pressing question on the minds of thousands of parents in a suburban school community. When the parents sought to lodge a complaint at the Bangur Nagar police station, they were met with stonewalling from the staff, despite medical evidence supporting the child’s claims.
Frustrated, the parents were compelled to approach the high court, which directed the crime branch to investigate the matter. Shockingly, the crime branch concluded that no such incident had occurred.
Now, the situation has come down to a small child’s word against the might of the city police. It is worth noting that the child has no apparent motive to fabricate such a story, and she has willingly subjected herself to repeated police interrogations.
The entire city should rally around the child to ensure justice is served.
Incidentally, in another school under the same group, a similar incident was reported, and the Goregaon police acted promptly by arresting the suspect.

**Poornima Vegetarian Restaurant Launches Air-Conditioned Dining**
Good news for food lovers! Poornima vegetarian restaurant near Bombay House, Fort, has opened an air-conditioned dining space next door. Poornima, owned by Jagannath Nayak of Matunga fame, has built a huge fan following over the years, including many lawyers practicing at the high court and sessions court.
The Mysore dosa at Poornima has become iconic, attracting many patrons. However, its limited seating capacity once meant that customers often had to stand at tall tables to enjoy favorites like bisi bele anna with crisp vadis, thate idlis, sheera, and masala dosas.
Now, diners can enjoy all these delicacies in air-conditioned comfort. The kitchen remains the same, ensuring that signature dishes such as paan polos, cheese chilly dosa, goli baje, banana bajji, tomato upma, misal pav, avial, and dudhi halwa retain their beloved flavors.
Of course, prices have increased somewhat, but that is a small price to pay for a pleasant dining ambiance.
