Bhopal: Officials Work Tirelessly As Entry, Exit Work Of 3 Metro Stations Still Incomplete

**Bhopal Metro Project Update: Entry and Exit Points Work Ongoing, CMRS Inspection Scheduled**

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Work on the entry and exit points of three out of eight metro stations on the priority corridor is still incomplete. Metro officials are working tirelessly to complete the construction at the earliest.

The Commissioner, Metro Rail Safety (CMRS), is scheduled to inspect the metro stations during his second visit to the city. An officer from the Metro Rail Corporation, speaking on the condition of anonymity, stated that every metro station is required to have two entry and exit gates. Currently, the metro stations at AIIMS, Alkapuri, and the DRM office each have only one entry and exit gate, with work underway to construct the second gate.

**Roll-out Planned for October**

The state government is planning to roll out the metro train for public use in October. However, the exact date of inauguration has not yet been decided.

**Race Against Time Before CMRS Visit**

With only a few days remaining before the arrival of the Commissioner, officials are racing against time to complete all remaining work. The CMRS will inspect the metro depot and the fitness of the metro trains on September 25, which will be his first visit to the site. His second visit will focus on inspecting the metro stations.

Once the Commissioner grants his approval, the metro train will be ready to commence public transportation.

**Metro Depot Facilities Near Completion**

At the metro depot, key facilities such as the operation control room, administration building, and inspection bay line are all complete, facilitating smooth operations and maintenance.

**Trains and Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs)**

A total of 27 metro trains have been sanctioned for the Bhopal Metro Project. So far, eight trains have arrived, while the rest will be delivered as per future requirements.

The project includes two underground metro stations located in the Old City area. To facilitate this, tunnel boring machines (TBMs) capable of digging earth up to 20 metres deep or more will be brought to the site, expected either in December or January. This will mark the first time that the residents of Bhopal will witness such heavy machinery drilling deep underground.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Bhopal Metro Project as it progresses towards public launch.
