
Flipkart Curbs Dark Patterns Through Self-Audit, Aligns With Consumer Protection Guidelines
New Delhi: Flipkart Group on Thursday announced the completion of an independent self-audit across its digital platforms, aimed at ensuring the highest standards of compliance and accountability. This initiative aligns with the guidelines and advisory issued by the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) on the prevention and regulation of dark patterns.
The group, which includes Flipkart, Myntra, Flipkart Wholesale, and Cleartrip, submitted a comprehensive self-audit report to Consumer Affairs Secretary Nidhi Khare, underscoring its commitment to fairness and transparency for its customers.
“Flipkart Group today announced the completion of a comprehensive, independent self-audit on its digital platforms. The audit has been conducted to ensure the highest standards of compliance, accountability, and consumer protection in accordance with the CCPA Guidelines and Advisory for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns, 2023 and 2025,” the company said in a statement.
Flipkart emphasized its responsibility towards Indian consumers by investing in robust policies, controls, ethical design practices, extensive training and awareness programs, and transparent communication.

He added that Flipkart will continue collaborating with the Ministry of Consumer Affairs and other stakeholders to further strengthen consumer protection.
